While all Porsche Macans come with turbocharged engines, only the Macan Turbo comes with the biggest, most powerful of them, a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 rated at 400 horsepower in standard form, and upped to 440 with the optional Performance Package. The seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic is the only transmission available, and all Macan Turbos come with all-wheel-drive. Options include air suspension with adaptive dampers and the Porsche Torque Vectoring and Sport Chrono Package. This package includes driver-selected dynamic modes, launch control, motorsports-inspired gearing, dynamic transmission mounts, and interior upgrades. Be warned that most Porsche options are expensive and can add up so quickly as to double the base price. Although it can’t overcome its un-sports-car-like size and weight, the Macan Turbo’s performance, ride, and handling justify the Porsche badge.
